You thought that Gabe Kaplan was actually John Travolta? I’m confused.
Why are you confused? I saw John Travolta’s name in the credits, I had heard the name before so I knew he was famous (and I think the name was mentioned fairly early in the credits), therefore I assumed he had the main role. Ever since, Kotter has been my reference for ‘what John Travolta looks like’. I guess I haven’t knowingly seen anything else with John Travolta in. In fact, there are two main things I remember Welcome Back, Kotter for:
- It showed me what this famous John Travolta guy looked like.
- I could never quite figure out why it was called ‘Welcome Back, Kotter’.
Thanks to wikipedia, that show no longer has anything worth remembering. Even Gabe Kaplan doesn’t look like Kotter any more.
