I’d actually looked up Joss Whedon and found something that mentioned Toy Story, but I didn’t realise that was any more obscure than the other things he’s done.
Toy Story is extremely famous; Whedon is very famous, primarily for his involvement with Buffy, Angel, and Firefly (and he’s especially well known and appreciated among geeks); the fact that Whedon worked on Toy Story is obscure. This is another of those things where I’m entirely astounded by Angelastic’s not having heard of Whedon, not because I expect her to follow American TV but because his fans are just so prevalent on the Internet.
(I don’t follow American TV myself — of Joss Whedon’s three TV series, I have watched a total of one episode, the series finale of “Angel”, and no, I had no idea what was going on. I’ve also seen the episode of the US “Office” that he directed, but that’s aside the point.)
