That video of The Future Soon really does sound good. For some reason though, I don’t think he managed to get the audience reactions as much. The laughter was more pervasive.
There are two points in that song that I always feel are the flashpoints to see if the person or persons listening really “gets it”, and they both received good responses: the aforementioned “Space Lab in Space”, and “She’ll eye me suspiciously”. The use of eyes in a different manner right after bionic is just so damn clever, and I was pleased to hear people chuckle at that, not only at “Or is it?”. Guess those literary types are good for catching wordplay :p
