Reply To: Is Your Fifth-Grader Smarter Than a Breadbox?: Twenty Questions 3.0
I would like to carry on asking questions, but instead I’ll give a quick rundown of possible songs. No need to reply, Dr. Cox, unless you think I’m on entirely the wrong track and you think it deserves clarification.
The Thing a Week 1 and 4 CDs had an even number of tracks, as did Smoking Monkey. Our Bodies, Ourselves…, the Aftermath, and Other Experiments (and the other stuff, like Song-Fu, etc.) were never on CDs. So I think we’re down to TAW 2, TAW 3, and Where Tradition Meets Tomorrow.
JoCo’s released demo versions of all the WTMT tracks except Betty and Me, whose original recording is on Awryone’s page; some of TAWs 2 and 3 were covers, and a couple were recorded in other places. So we have, by my reckoning:
I Will (cover)
Dance, Soterios Johnson, Dance (demo)
Don’t Talk to Strangers (cover)
Madelaine (awryone)
The Presidents (Little Gray Books podcast, episode 7)
Famous Blue Raincoat (cover)
The Future Soon (demo)
Skullcrusher Mountain (demo)
I Crush Everything (demo)
Betty and Me (awryone)
Mandelbrot Set (demo)
Feel free to add to this list, if you think I’ve left something out. I won’t suggest any questions — it wouldn’t be sporting.
