It was nice meeting and working with you, pdxgrrrl, even though I probably seemed frantic and obnoxious.
As I said in the beginning of the thread, I got some of my coworkers to come to the show – one of those was the woman who was arguing about “I’m your Moon.” She has this real thing about people ignoring Charon, and yes, beer was definitely involved. Also, she ran into her ex-fiancee at the show and ended up sitting with him. I think he harshed her mellow.
On Monday morning I came to work and an authentic Paul & Storm™ snack cake was sitting on my desk.
The highlight of Paul & Storm’s show, for me, was when they were doing the “Arrr”s. “What’s your favorite Candy Bar? Marrrrrrs! What do you drive to work? Carrrrr! What’s your favorite Grateful Dead song? [silence so profound I swear I heard a pin drop]. Comedy gold.
The highlight of the JoCo show for me was “Kenesaw Mountain Landis.” Can you think of any song less likely to get played on Z100? I remember the first time I heard it, thinking “What the F***?” And then it grew on me.
