So, you know how JoCo occasionally plays covers that he’s not recorded in concert? And gets paid to perform? What’s the difference? The video is not posted by Disney or one of its henchmen as best I can tell, so this is just a public performance of a song, which falls under performance rights that are granted to anyone anywhere when you publish a song. You get paid for those rights through performance societies: ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.
I’m sure that the Adventurers Club is up-to-date on their ASCAP & BMI fees, folks. Untwist your knickers.
