I just purchased Portal via steam Friday. After my girlfriend and my son were done playing it I finally got a chance to play it on Sunday and had it beat fairly quickly. I'm big on computer gaming (mmo and fps mainly) and I have to say it's one of the most unique and entertaining games I've ever played. The main story is pretty short though and there are multiple ways to accomplish most of the puzzles in it. It's humbling to see my 9 year old son come up with easier solutions than I could in some instances and I've been gaming for a minute or two.
If you enjoy gaming you'd be missing out on quite a bit if you didn't play it. Take some motion sickness medicine and give it a try!
