Reply To: I’m going to a JoCo concert!!!! What to expect?
The concert really was a blast. Of course he played all the biggies: The Future Soon, Skullcrusher Mountain, Code Monkey and Re: Your Brains. At one point he told us that he was going to play a melancholy love song in D and we could pick which one, but wouldn't tell us which of his songs he was talking about… 
In case he does that again, they are "Womb With a View" and "I Crush Everything". "Womb" got a lukewarm response so he started into "I Crush Everything" to a VERY enthusiastic response.
As to my expectations, I try to always keep an open mind because otherwise I have less fun because I'm worried too much about what I expect and not just enjoying what's going on. One thing I can say is I am a pretty long-term die-hard DaVinci's Notebook/Paul and Storm fan who has only discovered JoCo pretty recently. That being said, I think that JoCo has a bit more musical talent and his music tends to be "smarter", but Paul and Storm have more experience actually performing. DaVinci's notebook lasted over twelve years and they have been touring as Paul and Storm a couple more years on top of that. Also, while JoCo is by no means reluctant to approach any subject in his work, Paul and Storm tend to spend more time in the "fart joke" category and so their music is at times a bit more approachable.
