Colleen: Yeah, hyperlinks in this forum work in two ways —
1) set comments to be formatted as HTML and using the HTML <a> tag (e.g. <a href="http://www.jonathancoulton.com">Link to JoCo\’s website</a>)
2) set comments to be formatted as text and typing in a valid URL starting with http:// (e.g. http://www.jonathancoulton.com )

Radien: You might (or you might not) be interested in the old thread in which JoCo discusses his use of the half-diminished seventh chord (e.g. D-F-Ab-C). He gives a few examples of songs where he uses it.

Personally, I’d recommend “Summer’s Over,” or perhaps you could take a look at the tablatures (those that have been transcribed, at least) for songs with more interesting chords in them.

Actually, I’d seriously encourage you to take a listen to all of JoCo’s songs, although I don’t know if you’re on dialup or something and that’s not an option.
