Holy cow, it’s karaoke! Bob over at LushKaraoke.com was incredibly kind in creating all these files for me. The idea is, you get the song with no lead vocals and the standard karaoke-type graphics with timed lyrics (and sometimes an image or two from Len).

You should feel free to use these at karaoke bars, office parties, SNL appearances, etc., but don’t blame me if you get punched in the mouth for singing First of May. You can also just use the vocal-free MP3 to record a new version with your own vocals, alternate lyrics, whatever – the same Creative Commons license applies to these as the original songs. Please note that some of the Karaoke tracks do include backing vocals.

There are currently two formats available: MP3+G and iPod/MP4. See this page for a bit about what this means. You can also see a sample at the bottom of this page. NOTE: the preview songs on this page are the original songs. Our player plugin does not play mp3+g files.
