JoCo Cannot Be Stopped
So I guess I lied when I said that was the last of the Spring shows – INADVERTENTLY. Check it: a FREE concert at University of Arkansas next week, then Dallas, LA, and Solana Beach (the one near San Diego) in May.
Plus a special benefit show at the Birchmere on May 21 to benefit the Lung Transplant Foundation – a cause near and dear to my heart because my booking agent recently had both lungs replaced (you can go back and read that again if you want) and is doing really well. I don’t know what my booking agent would have done without these new lungs, and I don’t know what I would have done without my booking agent.
But enough about lungs, here are the details:
Friday March 27 at 8PM
Symphony Space (New York, NY) with Paul and Storm
Tuesday March 31 at 7PM
Arkansas Union Theater (Fayetteville, AR)
FREE and open to the public!
(sorry for the late notice on this one, I thought it was students only)
Thursday April 23 at 8 PM
Lula Lounge (Toronto, ON) with Paul and Storm
Friday April 24 at 7:30 PM
Lula Lounge (Toronto, ON) with Paul and Storm
Wednesday May 13 at 8PM
Granada Theater (Dallas, TX) with Paul and Storm
Thursday May 14 at 8PM
Belly Up Tavern (Solana Beach, CA) with Paul and Storm
Sunday May 17 at 8:30PM
Largo (Los Angeles, CA) with Paul and Storm
For tix call (310) 855-0350
This one will sell out I think, so don’t wait too long.
Thursday May 21 at 7:30PM
The Birchmere (Alexandria, VA) with Chelsea Lee
Lung Transplant Foundation Benefit

Damn. Hey, you visit any major city in TN and I’ll be there, but so far been bad luck for the last… oh… Two years.
March 27th, 2009 at 9:35 am
Yo JoCo when is Utah gonna see the love!!
March 27th, 2009 at 9:48 am
w00t! Got my tickets for Dallas. I really wish that was a weekend show since I have to drive 3 hours to get there but I don’t care. It will be the first time I’ve been close enough to see a show and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. My sister lives in Seattle and has seen three or four shows but I live in Podunk and must make a pilgrimage.
March 27th, 2009 at 10:21 am
…not to mention…I feel fantastic, and I’m still alive!
March 27th, 2009 at 11:04 am
SoCal, SoCal, SoCal – Did I miss the SF Bay Area shows?
March 27th, 2009 at 11:34 am
Yay @ more JoCo tour dates!
Saw you at London last time you were over this side of the lake. Any chance of an appearance over here sometime this year?
March 27th, 2009 at 11:39 am
@BenTheTipsyBear: Yep. January. But I’ll be back.
I can’t say it enough people: Mailing List, Mailing List, Mailing List
March 27th, 2009 at 11:54 am
Thank you soooooo much JoCo for coming to Dallas, great venue by the way, like 5 blocks from my home! I cannot wait!
March 27th, 2009 at 11:55 am
Yay! Glad to see you took my suggestion on the Granada in Dallas. I LOVE that venue.
March 27th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
So glad you’re coming to UofA next week, looking forward to seeing you and singing along with Blue Sunny Day!
March 27th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
JoCo – thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! You’re finally coming back to Dallas!!! I found out about your music *literally* the night of your last concert in Dallas, and was too late to do anything about it! I’ve been waiting eagerly ever since, for you to announce another Dallas date. I was so sad when you were in Austin last week and I couldn’t make it…and then I find out this today! YAY! I bought my tickets this morning and I’m SOOO thrilled! So, thank you!
March 27th, 2009 at 6:31 pm
Yes, thousands of thanks for at last coming back to Dallas! And so near where I live, too. Too, too awesome. I already bought 2 tickets for the front row, and I’m telling everyone I know to attend.
March 27th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
AAAHHHH!!!!
Arkansas finally gets some love. XD I will totally be there.
And if I have my way, I shall be bringing people with me.
Now we just need on No More Kings.
March 27th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
Nothing, I see, scheduled for May 1.
March 28th, 2009 at 2:01 am
Hmm, a mere 2.5 hours from me in Springfield, MO.
March 28th, 2009 at 7:45 am
Noooooo! You are coming to Fayetteville the week of my finals in Little Rock. You must come back, or I must sacrifice my gpa to see you!
March 28th, 2009 at 4:10 pm
Sonuva-! It figures I read that you were in NY today rather than yesterday. Bet it was a good show. Urg.
March 28th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
I completely agree with Rob. The Granada is hands down my favorite venue in Dallas. It’s not too big, it’s not too small, it’s JUST right. And that doesn’t even mention that it’s in a great part of town that has a lot of local restaurants nearby. Too bad the Cafe Brazil in Lower Greenville closes at 3:00PM on Wednesdays. The 24 hour one on US-75 just north of Mockingbird Ln. is a bit farther away.
March 28th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
That’s so great for you to do a benefit concert. If you set up a link or online donation thing / drive for that I bet the response would take your breath away.
March 28th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Anyone know anything about the University of Arkansas show? It’s free, which is nice, but I’m 2.5 hours away and need to know if it’s going to be a long enough show (not just like 2 quick songs) to make the drive worth it ;0
March 29th, 2009 at 1:56 am
Jonathan Coulton they are SINGING YOUR SONG ON BRAVO. Millionaire Matchmaker. A nerdy millionaire is singing it. Srsly.
March 29th, 2009 at 10:21 am
I guess my “hurry back to DC” actually worked this time. I will definitely try to make the Birchmere show: my dad had COPD in his lungs and while he didn’t need a transplant, it was pretty damn scary. Glad your friend is doing better.
March 29th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
tshaddox: it’s a full show in Arkansas.
March 29th, 2009 at 4:27 pm
Okay, I owe the US government 400 bucks, a $300 car payment, and
I have $50 to my name…do I buy a ticket to the Solana Beach show!?
March 30th, 2009 at 8:26 am
Floooorrrridaaaaa!!!! It’s calling you, JoCo… again and again… please please please please?
March 30th, 2009 at 9:02 am
@Cambiata: I thought I was the only one who saw that! I find it a bit ballsy and awesome that he’d use that as a video interview bit for a weirdo matchmaking thing, but hey… whatever works.
Whomever he is, he should totally come forth and identify himself.
March 30th, 2009 at 3:15 pm
Jeff wants a JoCo DVD. I want to stimulate the economy by spending money on your DVD.
March 30th, 2009 at 7:53 pm
I am so excited to see you are going to be in Fayetteville, I will be there!
March 31st, 2009 at 1:36 am
Hmm, third concert in three months? Sounds like a deal to me! ^.^
And yes, I second Jeff’s statement. Don’t deny us our constitutional rights to DvDs!
Or your recipe for Mac & Cheese Muffins. Awesome idea indeed! Though if Hodgman lied to me again (I went around telling people that there was an old version of lobsters that were killed off and extinct now, totally thinking it was true. No wonder they looked at me as if I were scientifically justifying unicorns) I might just have to kill ‘em.
March 31st, 2009 at 4:17 pm
Too bad I’m not going to make the U of A show. I’m on the mailing list now!
Please consider MSSU (or anyplace else in Joplin, MO) or Springfield, MO. There are lots of us fans “in the woodwork!”
March 31st, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Just saw you in Fayetteville, it was a blast
Had to sneak out of a banquet to make it but it was totally worth it! Hope to see you in the area again! (more of my favorite Internet-based artists need to come through here
)
March 31st, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Thanks for coming to U of A! I bet if you come again we can get a much larger crowd, I wouldn’t have known about it if I hadn’t happened to pop over here.
April 1st, 2009 at 2:11 am
A three hour drive was well worth that show at U of A!
April 24th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
I am glad to see you are coming to the Granada Theater in Dallas. I hope to see that show. I hope you enjoyed your time at my alma mater–I wonder if any of my professors from the physics department came to see your show!
