Link Dump, Oops I Mean “Bounty”
Here’s that bonus room song from Skullmonkeys I was talking about: Little Bonus Room. Still awesome.
Keith took the Portal voice audio and messed with it something fierce to make this song. Spooooooky.
Pudgenet rocks “Still Alive” on acoustic guitar and pop filter in this video. About what it would sound like if Steve Earle did a version.
Kerrin of JoCoPro returns after a long hiatus with this slideshow vid for “First of May.”
Joel’s obligatory JoCo/Portal episode of the HijiNKS ENSUE comic. Cake!
Good old Gl3nn (with a 3) has posted MANY videos from my recent LA show. Here’s Skullcrusher Mountain, the rest can be found under Gl3nn’s user on YouTube.
Thank you, internet: sometimes you really ARE a dump truck.

I just finished Portal last night and I really liked the song at the end. Is this track available to download somewhere?

Cool comic… but why does the Valve guy look like Michael Moore?
October 23rd, 2007 at 6:09 pm
Because Gabe Newell looks like that?
He doesn’t really look like Michael Moore though.

That’s strange, I was just looking through Ticketmaster and saw your name in the upcoming events for Atlanta after listening to the Major Nelson podcast. Something urges me to come…

“The Device Has Been Modified” is an AMAZING breakbeat song. But there seems to be a problem with the downloadable mp3: it’s playing too fast!
This bug is reproducible on both Linux (using vlc, rhythmbox, and totem on gstreamer) and Windows (using Windows Media Player). Just listen to the tindeck stream, and then listen to the downloadable mp3.
Are you still in contact with “Keith”? Could you tell him to try re-encoding the mp3?

I put the videos in a playlist, so they’ll all play in order here

Non variable bitrate version of The Device Has Been Modified, should fix some people’s playback speed problem.

No sir.. the internet’s not a big truck, that you can just dump stuff on. It’s a series of tubes.
/heard from the head of the Senate oversight committee on internet regulation
//and he would know what he was talking about
///because his staff had downloaded him the internet earlier that day.

“The Device Has Been Modified” is a great song, especially how he modifies the voice to go with the music. I only wish it had a bit about the cake in there.

I dearly love Skullmonkies and especially the little bonus room theme. Thanks for posting it among some other wonderous media!

I’d never heard that Terry S Taylor song before now but it’s pretty awesome. Personally, I got inspired to do some odd musical experiments after the Neverhood soundtrack. That was some weird, boy.

BTW, Terry S Taylor is a frickin’ musical genius. Check out his bands: Daniel Amos, Swirling Eddies, Lost Dogs. His fingerprints are everywhere, but not many people know of him.
(I also did a cover of a Lost Dogs song somewhere there on my YouTube account.)

http://the-whiteboard.com/autowb845.html has Yet Another Portal Reference. If you look a bit before on the timeline a bit, you see how absurd it truly is.

did the person who did this song have any others? this is excellent stuff.
