This is a list of recommended posts for the week from Sunday, August 3, 2008, to Saturday, August 9, 2008. The point of this list is to give newcomers a quick way to grasp what's going on in the forums, as well as to create a mechanism for feedback on forum contributions.
Ground rules:
- Every week, we'll do some kind of summary post in the forums, to round up the results from these recommendations.
- A nomination and two supporting votes will guarantee a post or thread makes it into the summary. (Those numbers may change.)
- Obviously, no nominating or supporting your own posts.
- Be sure to include:
- A link to the relevant post or thread.
- The name of the forum member who made the post.
- A quote or descriptor to make it clear what the substance of the post or thread was.
- Your own name, and whether you're nominating or supporting.

These are threads that are good places for new forum members to dip their toes in. This is meant to be a recurring feature -- that is, this list will appear every week, is the intention at least. As such, I'm not going to so much allow votes as accept suggestions. --Bry 00:13, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
Forum Code of Conduct / FAQ thread

- Yes, I've just nominated three threads I started. And yes, that's specifically against the rules I myself set out at the top of the page. I'd even suggest the "Favorite JoCo moments?" thread, if I didn't think that was pushing it. But I really think this one needs to be in, because every JoCo fan can at least talk about songs they like, can't they? --Bry 00:13, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
