Seattle Night of Stars
No rest for the weary: I’m on my way to Seattle to do a few west coast dates with the John Hodgman book tour. Please note that tomorrow night, Thursday November 6, John and I will be performing at Town Hall in Seattle. Joining us, local treasures and actual famous people John Roderick and Sean Nelson. IT IS GOING TO BE VERY BIG AND FUN (all caps courtesy of John Hodgman).
I can’t figure out how to put a proper link in this iPhone Wordpress app, so I’m afraid you’ll have to cut and paste (which I also cannot do from here, ha ha). Regardless, buy your tickets here:

Damn. Let’s see… Coulton/Hodgman show, or pre-scheduled massage appointment?
Sorry, JC. I love you like the air I breathe, but you’re not going to rub my naked body for an hour.
And I’ve seen you a bunch of times already (and will again in January– The MOORE! Wohoo!) so it’s not like we never get to see each other.

Yes We Can and Yes We DID.

Isn’t this the wrong Washington for post-election partying? Still, you’re welcome here anytime!
Yes, We Can — ‘Cuz, Yes, We Did!!!

Either way, I’ll be sure to hit it!

(Oh, BPT..)

How come you and John Hodgman are not coming to Chicago? Have we displeased you?
Also: We certainly are able to!
I was at the Grant Park rally. It was incredible. Photos:

November 5th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
Who is this Johnathan Coulter I’ve been hearing so much about?

November 5th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
Doesn’t list the 11th in Corte Madera on your calendar, so am I to assume you’re not going to be there?
November 5th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Are you going be playing along side Jonathan CoulteRRRRRRRR or is this an unfortunate typo.
November 5th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
How are those 2 people “actually famous” and you guys aren’t? I know who you and Hodgeman are. I have no clue about the other two people you mentioned.
November 5th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
No, JoCo’s a demi!
November 6th, 2008 at 9:21 am
No I can’t afford to run across the state after work today to go on a 5 hour car trip to see your concert in Seattle. But I will anyway! See you there!
November 6th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
Comin’ down from Vancouver, BC for this one!
November 6th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Yes we did.
I think you might need to update Washy Ad Jeffy and The Presidents.

Awesome show tonight! Thanks for the music, thanks for the fun, and thanks for being so nice to my kid.
November 7th, 2008 at 3:02 am
Great show tonight, easily in my top 10 favorite public events! See you in January!
November 7th, 2008 at 3:03 am
Also it’s cool. Memorizing Presidents is hard!
November 7th, 2008 at 9:20 am
Fantastic show last night! Seriously — that was an awesome experience, and I don’t mind being exhausted for work today.
Are you going to put up a recording of that new version of The Presidents??? I would LOVE a copy of that.
November 7th, 2008 at 11:57 am
I sat off to stage right for the entire show and so when John was doing his reading all I could see was the side of your head. That isn’t to say anything bad about the side of your head, it’s a perfectly good side of the head.
Great show guys! Come back on your separate tours after the inevitable public tabloid fallout.
November 7th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Yes we can, and yes we will.
November 7th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
Thank you for this.
Will the Battlestar Galactica theme make its way onto the internets anytime soon? I was hoping to share that with someone who could not make it.
November 7th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
Awesome show. Thank you. Would also like to join the chorus of requests for that sweet presidents song.
November 7th, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Nevermind! Found it!

Oh man… I wish I’d heard about this BEFORE *today*, the day *after* the show. Sean Nelson (of Harvey Danger, best known nationally for “Flagpole Sitta” (i.e., “I’m not sick but I’m not well” for the musically retarded) in the 90s, but much more popular in the local and indie scene) and JoCo together? Couldn’t really care less about the Johns…
*kick self*

@Cassie:
That’s the old version — the version he sang in Seattle last week had a fantastically updated last verse.
November 13th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
The version in Seattle is on YouTube.

There’s a better version on Vimeo, with the updated lyrics nice and clearly audible:

Thanks, Jmonkee! That version is indeed far superior.

Thanks Jmonkee, that’s a great version of the video. Much better.

Saw it and love it! But what about your San Diegans fans, I heard they want you there… What do you say…
