Between 9th and 10th.
Adding my post as one of the various places I’m going to try to convince JoCo to play “Rainbow Connection” this night. I’m all about the wistful childhood tunes~

since it’s so hot here, I pray JoCo plays some Xmas music. Perhaps a little “Christmas is Interesting”?

I have a problem that I’m wondering if anyone here knows information about.
I’m trying to get two friends to come with me to the show. However, they did not purchase advance seating … and the Highline’s site now says that the walk up seats are SRO. The problem is that one of the friends is 350 lbs or so. There’s no way he’s going to make it standing through an entire concert. I have an advance ticket, and plan on being on the line somewhat early. But I don’t know if I can get a table for the three of us, how crowded the place will be; how long the line will be to get the odds of working out the table, etc etc.
Anyone know any specs in terms of how many people to expect in the seated area? How long the line will be? What are the chances that the Highline will be accomodating to our scenario?

Hey Mitch–
Yea, I see that advance tickets are sold out…so is your question basically– how stringent is the seated/unseated delineation, or could you switch out to give your friend a break, or even could they be understanding and sell him an adv. ticket anyway? Also I guess, since you have an advanced ticket does that mean you have a SEAT at a table or do you have a TABLE, where you could have your friends come sit with you?
I can call the venue tomorrow and see what the deal is…Shoot me an email if you want!

Something like that, Scarface. I was under the impression that the “Seated” tickets are all around little tables. From the post P&S made on the forum (where I reposted my question because I’m a pain in the ass like that), they said the 300 “seat” tickets were sold, and the last 100 was SRO but they don’t know WHERE.
Obviously, I’d prefer to sit WITH my friends for the concert rather than giving him my seat and standing around somewhere else with his wife :p. If the SRO people basically mill around where the seated people are, I guess I can give him my chair and the three of us can at least be grouped together.
Thanks a ton for your reply.

Just an update: I appreciate the help from P&S, Scarface and others, but it appears that there is too much trepidation, and I’ll be attending the concert stag.
I was lamenting earlier that because of this thread, when I meet JoCo, I went from “MitchO from the Wiki” to “MitchO with the fat friend”. :p
