I have been watching with some amusement the growing number of comments at this old post of mine (about the recording of that guy trying to cancel his AOL account) from people who are actually trying to cancel some kind of account. I guess I can see how you could make that mistake if you were really not an internet person, but I really couldn’t figure out how everyone was finding their way to that post. But this morning I googled “cancel my account” and guess what’s the number one result? Thanks Google.

Good old Spiff has been neglecting his guild again, spending time instead on this new World of Warcraft video for Betty and Me. I notice he went a little easy on the “adult situations,” perhaps feeling the chilling effects of the recent First of May take-down on YouTube. Thanks Spiff!

This lovely thing about little ol’ me appeared in the Boston Herald on Wednesday – thank you Jed. There were big crowds at both the Northampton and Boston shows, so we see again how getting press in these “news-papers” can actually help a guy.

And you psychologists will already know this, but there’s an interview with me (and a picture of me with my cat in my kitchen) in the current issue of Psychology Today in the section “Eccentric’s Corner.” Sheesh, you write a couple of songs about robots and monkeys and suddenly you’re eccentric. I can’t find a link to the article online anywhere, but it’s the May-June issue. The picture alone is worth buying the issue – my cat looks great.

Well, there were lots of audio problems during Paul and Storm’s set – I was taking a feed off the board and we had some impedance mismatch problems that made it sound horrible. As a result, all of Paul and Storms set was pretty unlistenable – I spent most of it in front of the computer trying to figure out what the problem was, and got it fixed literally just as they were taking their bows, as you’ll see. Below is them bowing, the intermission, and then my show. I am very small. Could do with a better camera I suppose. If anybody out there actually watched this as it happened, let me know how it looked and sounded for you.

[I should mention that in the video below nothing happens for about 27 minutes, then it cuts off after one and a half songs. I think my computer went to sleep. Obviously there are things I could do to improve this next time. This time: complete disaster.]
