Small World Podcast Interview

November 14th, 2005

A while ago I was interviewed by Bazooka Joe from the Small World Podcast. That interview is now available for your listening enjoyment: listen here. Thanks to some clever editing, I actually sound like I am not an idiot some of the time. Thanks Joe for the airplay.

Ah, good old “Shout Vac”. So, that’s a picture of you? Looks a little like you’re posing for a mug shot. (Now, to find the actual link to the podcast on that page…)

  2. JC says:

Yeah, that’s a picture of me. Don’t I look all dangerous and bearded? There should be a little gray podcast button below the text on that page…

  3. Bazooka Joe says:

I must have listened to that show a dozen times this weekend, and not because I’m narcissisistic, which I am, but because I dug Jonathan’s songs so much. Why aren’t you a pop star and touring with Weezer already! Sheesh.

  4. Glenn says:

A-ha. I couldn’t read the “podcast” button, thanks! (Mm, tiny white text on light grey.)

You look a little like a man about to write a song about how tough it is to live in a shack in the wilderness, mailing his pro-technology world domination screed to various primate research facilities. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.

  5. Bazooka Joe says:

Glenn, I’m glad you pointed that out. I’ve switched to a darker podcast icon. That should take care of the lack of visibility,

  6. Glenn says:

    Thanks, Joe!

I do have a question — I’m loading it in Firefox (clicking on the now more readily visible icon) and I get the sense it’s not playing the whole podcast for me — when I clicked this morning, I got more than I did just now. And clicking again finally got it to cut out mid-sentence short after “Do you love your commute?” Hmm. Right-clicking for save-as seems to get the whole half-hour thing. Seems to be more of a Firefox bug. Not really a question now.

  8. Nifty.

Where ya been? No blogs in days. I hope this means we’re getting a cool Thing A Week tomorrow.

  9. Daniel says:

    Jonathan,
Enjoyed the podcast. Sounds like you’ve been busy recently. Does this mean things are taking off for your music career? Hope so. I was wondering about that Creative Commons stuff you mentioned. Anywhere I can read up on it?

  10. If you click on the words “creative commons”, it sends you somewhere to read up on it… I hope you were serious, or I’ll feel like an ass for missing the sarcasm.

  11. JC says:

Yes, thanks Charles. I really should fix the links formatting on my site, it’s so damn hard to see when something’s a link. But creative commons – very exciting future-of-art kind of stuff as far as I’m concerned. If you go to creativecommons.org and click on “learn more” there are a cartoons and faqs that will explain everything.

  12. Daniel says:

Thanks for the info. I was serious, Charles; my sarcasm is seldom subtle and even less seldom amusing.
